I’m Venkat La, Founder and CEO of Learning Labs, an accident left me bedridden, contemplating life’s twists. My daughter’s request altered my course. Her unending curiosity breathed purpose into my days. She asked, “Dad, can you teach me science when you’re better?” Eagerly, she explored her sixth-grade science book, its pages ablaze with questions. A chapter on electricity and magnetism piqued her interest. As I regained strength, the passion within me awakened. We embarked on a journey of scientific discovery. An experiment on electromagnetism held her spellbound. With a battery, a nail, copper wire, and paperclips, we crafted an electromagnet. We unravelled the magic of electromagnetism in simple terms. Her eyes sparkled with amazement. “This is incredible, Dad!” she exclaimed. “Why can’t we learn like this in school every day?” In that very moment, I understood the transformative power of hands-on learning. My mission to make such education accessible was born, leading to “Learning Labs.” My story became one of recovery, inspiration, and the pursuit of engaging, accessible education for all.
